'Can't get it up tour' - 2010-11

Hello one and all - welcome to our website! Been a while since the sites been up, our web guru decided to give us a lick of paint and then decided half way through that he couldn't be arse to finish it! Anyway, a swift hiding a four pack of Stella and a few quid later and here we are - at last!

So, what's new? Well, Max who was really ill now isn't and apparently wasn't! Long story and one Max really needs to tell you about suffice to say were back up and running now. We have even managed to squeeze some well needed rehearsals on new material in so look out for these live.

The band

Who are and what is "No Spring Chicken"! Well, to cut a long story short were a bunch of mates who used to work together and one summers day decided to start a cover band. No Spring Chicken summarizes us up as were a bunch of old dudes plaing old rock - simples!

Max Bywater - Guitars and vocals

Teaching assistant when not with the Chickens and very handy with a camera - or so he tells us! Also the owner and wearer of some very pointy shoes so girls watch your eyes! Max uses Fender Guitars and H&H Amps.

Ken Slater - Bass Guitars and foul language

Teacher and now highly regarded website tester - indeed, Ken can always be found in front of a PC downloading something or other! Ken changes his gear as often as his pants but currently can be found strumming Fender guitars through Ashdown amps.

Russ Ellis - Guitars and vocals

Teacher and member of the mafia - well, he hasn't told us this but goes to Italy at least once a year and refuses to go anywhere else, this has raised more than one eyebrow! Russ uses an assortment of guitars and amps but can always be seen wearing Topman shirts.

Warwick Fletcher - Drums and piss take

Firefighter and the youngest member of the team. Website builder and creator of the Chickens website so he's the one to blame should it all go to shit! Warwick Uses Tama Drums and smashed Zildjian Cymbals.

Back by popular demand - well, not really but we needed to pad the website with some content. The soundcheck game is possibly the easiest game on the face of the planet but does let you waste some serously boring time at work (Bob).

No Spring Chicken are available for weddings, funerals and bar mitzvahs and are sure to entertain even the most discerning rock pundit! We can play for any length of time from just turning up and doing shag all to 3 hours (With breaks please) and pad the set out with some seriously great classics from artists such as;

Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Cream, McCartney, The Beatles, Cult, Fleetwood Mac, Bowie and many, many more, all done with our own special blend of Chicken magic!
